This neighbourhood is certainly diverse. Walk a couple of streets away from Calatrava’s ultra-modern architecture, and find open fields and farmhouses.
What can I do here?
The must see here is the Ciutat de les Artes i les Ciències (City of Arts and Sciences).
The white buildings and pools of crystal blue water make a great backdrop for a profile pic!
The complex is home to buildings including:
L’Hemisfèric – IMAX cinema and planetarium. Eye-popping documentaries about science and nature.
L’Umbracle – a botanic garden.
L’Oceanogràfic – the largest aquarium in Europe. Dolphins, sharks, jellyfish, and more.
An adult day ticket to visit everything is around €40, depending on what’s on. Worth it? We say yes!
Anything else? Quatre Carreres is home to El Saler, one of (hidden)’s biggest shopping centres.
The beach and Russafa are also within easy reach.

Quatre Carreres means ‘Four Roads’ in (hidden)n. It is is named after the four highways which radiate out from Russafa.
